- Tips: To access the igniter, which is located in the center of the unit directly under the hopper, the convection blower needs to be removed from its mount. On freestanding units, the convection blower is located on the right side of the stove, facing the front. On insert models this blower in on the left side. The position of the mounting screws for the blower is also slightly different; one is in a vertical position the other is horizontal. Everything else is the same
